Voglio questo gioco.

No, seriamente.
E sì, uscirà in Europa.

Kicking people's asses as Hakushon Daimao must be something totally insane. I want this game.
By the way, it's Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. And it's coming out in Europe!
For U.S. players: sorry, no Hakushon for you... licensing problems. :-(

Quinto anniversario di Yattaaa!
Yattaaa!

Yattaaa! is a mailing list about women in comics, which means both comics drawn by women and with women as protagonists (if you are not Italian, however, you may not be familiar with the characters you'll see when you open the link). The mailing list has recently celebrated its fifth birthday, and its staff has asked to those of the readers who are also storywriters and comic artistis for a hommage. I'm happy and proud having taken part in it, together with the amazing girls of Eden Studio (Francesca Da Sacco, Michela Da Sacco and Manuela Soriani) and Mattia Bulgarelli. Mattia wrote the tale that accompanies the illustrations, while I colored Manuela's and Michela's drawings.
Click here to see the list of hommages and choose "Mattia Bulgarelli e Eden Studio" to read the tale (if you know Italian...) and see Francesca's beautiful illustration as well.

Tratto dal sito The Shifter Archive:

The character of Jenny Everywhere is available for use by anyone, with only one condition. This paragraph must be included in any publication involving Jenny Everywhere, in order that others may use this property as they wish. All rights reversed.

They're amazing comic artists, aren't they? I had lots of fun collaborating with them, and they were very professional, receptive and kind. I wish to repeate such an experience as soon as possible! I've always loved inking and coloring other people's works, and I'd love to do that on a professional level.
And who is the girl with Nausicaa and Legs?
She is Jenny Everywhere, the first open source character ever created: Jenny exists in every world and every reality and can shift between them, and be wherever and whenever she wishes to be... and in any story! From the website The Shifter Archive:

The character of Jenny Everywhere is available for use by anyone, with only one condition. This paragraph must be included in any publication involving Jenny Everywhere, in order that others may use this property as they wish. All rights reversed.

An interesting way to create a character, don't you think? So, if you like Jenny, what are you waiting for?
Now I'm saying goodbye to go fight with Manga Studio: drawing digital comics is not an easy thing to learn, but I'm sure the advantages make it worthwile. See you next time!

Sogni bizzarri

I dreamt that Rumiko Takahashi taught me to make paper planes with manga paper. It is the prediction that I will have a great master or that I'd better go fishing rather than draw?

Tavola di prova Rourke
Rourke © Federico Memola/Star Comics

Here's a panel from Rourke, drawn by Manuela Soriani and colored by me. I wanted to experiment with the colors and lights of a night scene. I would like to try my hand at being a colorist and so I'm trying to learn and to build a small portfolio.

I'm trying to better my realistic coloring techniques, which still need refining.
Yesterday I got an extremely expensive Corel Painter magazine. Now I DEMAND to learn some of the interesting and useful stuff that's in it.
