Despite not updating lately, I have been drawing and coloring actively. However, most of my time is now spent doing the Bluejaye project, from which I can't offer previews. Please be patient!
Also, my remaining free time is now absorbed by a new very welcome furry guest:

Qui a poche settimane, appena arrivata a casa.
Here she had just come home with us and she was but a few weeks old.

Ed ecco com'è ora:
Now she is like this:

Adorabile, vero?
Lovely, isn't she?

Dall'alto a sinistra:

While I wait for the Bluejaye pages to be ready, I have some fun with sketches and portraits, so I can practice copying as well as inking.. From the upper left:
-Catwoman and Power Girl as drawn by Adam Hughes
-One of those Art Nouveau ladies I so much love, drawn while trying to understand what Mucha and Hughes have in common.
-Tina (or Terra) Branford from Final Fantasy VI, one of my favorites character to portray from one of my favourite JRPGs. Old, yes, but still deserving a playthrough.

Feathers

Acquerelli, Copic e correzioni in Photoshop (prima mi piaceva ancora meno).

Why, I often wonder, whenever I color one of my drawings with traditional media, I usually get tired of it before it's even finished? I find a thousand faults that I couldn't see before, I wish I'd redo it, and therefore I don't like it anymore. That's why this one's without a background, and it will remain so. Please help me understand what's wrong with it...
Watercolors, Copic markers and corrected in Photoshop (before that, I liked it even less).

Looking for ONE artist to do an 8-page job.

  • ...and able to withstand costructive criticism and make corrections when required at any stage.

  • coloring

Is that too much? I don't think so, I know there's A LOT of good people out there!. ^_-

The artist will have his/her work printed on the very first Bluejaye issue, and will recieve 30 US$ per page when the job's done: if PayPal is ok for you, then we don't care where you live. U.S.A. and European Union citizens will probably have no problems even without PayPal, we'll figure a way).

Gabe & Mattia will be the ONLY ones to tell who the chosen artist will be.

Check out these artist's pages, too!

Pattini

I pulled out of the closet (my external hard disk drive) this old (and anatomically less than perfect) line art to experiment with a couple of coloring techniques found here and here.
Constructive critiques are welcome, or should I say requested. Bonus points for those who will help me correct the anatomy. <3
Drawing inspired by a picture of  the Italian figure skater Carolina Kostner.
